What to do after the test?

OAAs are this week!  I posted Thursday about a review game we will be playing tomorrow.  Tuesday, my students will take the reading test and Thursday they will take the math test.  I need to plan for some activities for after the test.  I cannot remember for the life of me what I've done in the past!  I think, maybe, we were working on some kind of a project, but we're not doing anything like that right now.  I'm looking for some inspiration.  I would love to do some fun activities with my students during the afternoon of the test.  We're also staying in our homerooms on Friday for a fun day.  So, I have to keep them busy and entertained ALL DAY.  Please help!!!

  1. 1. How about a webquest? Here are a couple good sites:

    webquest.org
    zunal.com

It reminds me of a scavenger hunt

    2. How about a mini-play...a step up from readers' theater. I think with older students it's more fun to come up with costumes, etc.

    3. Reading Buddies with another class

    Hope these help.

  3. Come over and check out the My Teacher's Secret Life reading/writing innovation I did with my 4th graders last week after testing. It was fun and the kids enjoyed the change.

  4. Rachel, I always liked to do something after the testing that had the students making something. We used to make a dodecahedron kite I think with straws and tissue paper! It was always great fun! Not sure about our weather on Friday, but it may be kite flying weather! LOL I like the webquest idea but our computers are so limited! We also made a coloring quilt one year and also a picture that they had to work in teams to complete. Happy I found your blog!
